After 10 played minutes Arequito AFC got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Lain. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reynaldo Martxel in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Urtsua saved La NaLgUeRa FC from getting behind. 15 minutes into the match, Arequito AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Mino came free, but Conrado Abaunza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Orlando Mino managed to get in a good position for a shot. La NaLgUeRa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Mino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Abaunza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Arequito AFC booed when La NaLgUeRa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Bela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafael Urtsua stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reynaldo Martxel's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. A collision led to Arequito AFC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Filomeno Lain hit a great ball. La NaLgUeRa FC's Rafael Urtsua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Martxel in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Andres Mikeldi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arequito AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andres Mikeldi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Martxel in the 44th minute of play forced La NaLgUeRa FC's goalkeeper Rafael Urtsua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Urtsua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Mikeldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Mino to make the kick off. Andres Mikeldi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Rafael Urtsua when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Rafael Urtsua managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Arequito AFC's Andres Mikeldi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 58 minutes into the match, La NaLgUeRa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cyril Villeret came free, but Rafael Urtsua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teofilo Bela in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Conrado Abaunza saved Arequito AFC from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, Cyril Villeret dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rafael Urtsua, 0-3. Rafael Urtsua was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Osvaldo Andrea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 72 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Andres Mikeldi put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Rafael Urtsua. Gaston Venceslao's late challenge caught a Arequito AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaston Venceslao helped the player get up and apologised. Andres Mikeldi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Reynaldo Martxel in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rafael Urtsua, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
