In the 10th minute, Narciso Diaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Antonio Berto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lebron FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Berto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomero Oidor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes into the match, Lebron FC's goalkeeper Martin Rito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leon Salamon. When Leon Salamon fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gonzalez Catan's protests and gave Leon Salamon a yellow card for diving instead. Leon Salamon came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Martin Rito could save by the left post. 29 minutes into the match, Lebron FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Soter came free, but Martin Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Gonzalez Catan's Nemesio Abechuco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Martin Rito. Martin Rito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 33 minutes, Arnulfo Elodio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gonzalez Catan and the Lebron FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lebron FC booed when Gonzalez Catan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Elodio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narciso Diaz struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Baldomero Oidor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lebron FC. In the 37th minute, Gonzalez Catan's Leon Salamon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Gonzalez Catan's Baldomero Oidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Ur in the 40th minute of play. If Rigoberto Ur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Bero was the one to do the kick off. Martin Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Bero in the 53rd minute of play. Tomas Furtado's late challenge caught a Gonzalez Catan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Furtado helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 played minutes Lebron FC got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Furtado. Gonzalez Catan's Artemio Gonsalve got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eustaquio Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Oidor having to interfere. Martin Rito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Salamon, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 63rd minute, Esteve Horado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Soter in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Abechuco in the 67th minute of play forced Lebron FC's goalkeeper Martin Rito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Gonzalez Catan's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Diaz came free, but Baldomero Oidor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rigoberto Ur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Baldomero Oidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baldomero Oidor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelino Soter charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelino Soter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gonzalez Catan getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Marcelino Soter hit a great ball. Gonzalez Catan's Baldomero Oidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Lopes in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gonzalez Catan's zone, Rigoberto Ur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Oidor came out of the goal and Rigoberto Ur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Rito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Soter, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Martin Rito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nemesio Abechuco in the 86th minute of the match. Leon Salamon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Rito having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Marcelino Soter notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Lebron FC's Martin Rito. Martin Rito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gonzalez Catan were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Lebron FC for a fine match.
