Luisito Silvanito charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luisito Silvanito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Diaz in the 15th minute of play forced INDEPENDIENTE F.C's goalkeeper Moises Maju to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Narciso Diaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Rito was a little too slow when Marcial Abechuco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-1. Martin Rito was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Marcial Abechuco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcial Abechuco really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 35th minute Baldomero Cristofol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moises Maju saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41stth minute of the game Rigoberto Ur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INDEPENDIENTE F.C's Moises Maju was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eustaquio Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Moises Maju tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Henric kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

In the 54th minute Arnaldo Emenon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Rito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornelio Lander's late challenge caught a Lebron FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cornelio Lander helped the player get up and apologised. A hard shot by Rigoberto Ur from long distance, 57 minutes into the match, got Moises Maju's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Abel Henric kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Lebron FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Abechuco came free, but Martin Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind INDEPENDIENTE F.C's goalkeeper Moises Maju, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Lebron FC booed when INDEPENDIENTE F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Henric didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Rito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Emenon, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Antonio Berto struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Moises Maju didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lebron FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Todor in the 82nd minute of play forced Lebron FC's goalkeeper Martin Rito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Todor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Lebron FC's Eustaquio Lopes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Moises Maju. That made the score 2-2 after 93 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Rigoberto Ur took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Moises Maju to make any attempt to save it. The Lebron FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lebron FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
