Gavilán's Eloy Osmundo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Gavilán from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute Pedro Peruxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Resto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Nereo Romildo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnaldo Resto was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Camilo Paul managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gavilán's supporters rose to their feet, but Camilo Paul was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Resto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leteque AFC's Arnaldo Resto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Paul in the 42nd minute of play. Omar Salvadore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Eloy Osmundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Camilo Paul stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ruben Pozs short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Arnaldo Resto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pedro Peruxu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Arnaldo Resto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 54 played minutes Leteque AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Florinio. If Omar Salvadore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Osmundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Salvadore in the 65th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Peruxu got free with Arnaldo Resto in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 78 minutes, Omar Salvadore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leteque AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omar Salvadore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
