Gilberto Mannie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Savoi's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Osoro came free, but Abel Gilen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Gilen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorio Mino in the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Savoi's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Bertol came free, but Abel Gilen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Faustino Osoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 19th minute Faustino Osoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Gilen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Savoi defense, Silverio Bertol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel Gilen. The Savoi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel Gilen should have stopped the shot. Silverio Bertol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Gilen having to interfere. The supporters of Pepon booed when Savoi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Jaume didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 minutes of play, Pepon's Faustino Osoro made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abel Gilen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 45 minutes, Victorio Mino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pepon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorio Mino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Pepon were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Chap to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Chap's late challenge caught a Pepon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Chap helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Savoi's Alfredo Chap got a free kick in the 54th minute. Gilberto Mannie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Chap in the 61st minute of play. Ulises Berriotxoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Gilen having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Savoi's goalkeeper Abel Gilen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faustino Osoro. In the 66th minute, Ulises Berriotxoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Pepon getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Victorio Mino hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Savoi's Fermin Maidana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto Mannie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abel Gilen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ulises Berriotxoa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 78 minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Savoi's goalkeeper Abel Gilen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faustino Osoro. Cesar Bautista in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abel Gilen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Amadeo Aritza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Gilen made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Gabriel Truylos sent off a good shot on target. Silverio Bertol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Gilen having to make a save. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Victorio Mino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorio Mino in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Gilen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 96th minute, Silverio Bertol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pepon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5.
