In the 43rd match minute, Warriors FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Manuelo to maneuver through the defense. Elpidio Eliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Pacho in the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaspar Arixo was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Gimnasia de las Torres's Cirilo Ler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guido Beltza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mariano Pacho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elpidio Eliu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. If Jorge Peruxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Pacho in the 63rd minute of play forced Gimnasia de las Torres's goalkeeper Elpidio Eliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Gaspar Arixo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cirilo Ler struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Guido Beltza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimnasia de las Torres. The Warriors FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Warriors FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
