After 14 played minutes, Catalina y Ernesto F.C's Tobias Locaio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicasio Izotz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Filomeno Sandaili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Izotz having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Camilo Lizbeth made a kick off. Nicasio Izotz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Lizbeth in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Roberto Xabat got a free kick in the 56th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Catalina y Ernesto F.C's Tobias Locaio tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Celso Suarez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 61st match minute, Catalina y Ernesto F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleto Dino to maneuver through the defense. Braulio Cordero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Nicasio Izotz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 77 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Hurko. After having played for 78 minutes, Filomeno Sandaili managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
