A collision led to Sporting Clud getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Serafin Mirande hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Arnaldo Gonsalvo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clud's Bernabe Chumo got a free kick in the 10th minute. Camilo Tartalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Artaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 15th of the match, Norberto Artaldo tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Camilo Tartalo got in the way and made a wonderful save. Marcelino Eron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Desiderio Eyague had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sporting Clud's Marcelino Eron got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Sporting Clud's goalkeeper Camilo Tartalo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnaldo Gonsalvo. After having played for 33 minutes, Norberto Artaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cienaguilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norberto Artaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Valentin Jordy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prospero Timo, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 44th minute Norberto Artaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Tartalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelino Eron made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Desiderio Eyague got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Cienaguilla getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Florencio Mantzio hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Eron in the 55th minute of play forced Cienaguilla's goalkeeper Hilario Mantzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Tartalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Gonsalvo in the 58th minute of play. If Marcelino Eron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hilario Mantzio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Eron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the game, Marcelino Eron lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Hilario Mantzio. Norberto Artaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Camilo Tartalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Artaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafin Mirande during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting Clud's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Prospero Timo was slow to take the kick. During this time Cienaguilla's players had a chance to rest.
