The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the match, Braulio Cordero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Everardo Sauveur. Sportivo La Candela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Braulio Cordero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Ramiro Clodio got a free kick in the 12th minute. An unexpected shot in the 14th minute by Nunez Berasko got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Braulio Cordero scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Everardo Sauveur, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nunez Berasko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicasio Izotz made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Nunez Berasko sent off a good shot on target. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Sportivo La Candela's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Hurko came free, but Everardo Sauveur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Nunez Berasko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicasio Izotz came out of the goal and Nunez Berasko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd match minute, Sportivo La Candela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natalio Javiero to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Erubiel Hurko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Erubiel Hurko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Sauveur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erubiel Hurko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Bernabe Bonadona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportivo La Candela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Everardo Sauveur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erubiel Hurko in the 62nd minute of the match. If Nunez Berasko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Boca Juniors's Erubiel Hurko in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 81 minutes, Nunez Berasko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo La Candela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nunez Berasko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Boca Juniors's Nicasio Izotz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Berasko in the 91st minute of play. Nunez Berasko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Raul Chuse hit a great ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
