Nicasio Izotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desiderio Eyague, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Clud's goalkeeper Camilo Tartalo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Sporting Clud's Camilo Tartalo got control of the ball when Braulio Cordero tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 25 minutes, Ramiro Clodio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boca Juniors and the Sporting Clud players grew even worse after the yellow card. 26 minutes into the match, Sporting Clud's Valentin Jordy broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Nicasio Izotz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Eyague, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sporting Clud's Camilo Tartalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erubiel Hurko in the 29th minute of play. Erubiel Hurko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Camilo Tartalo having to make a save. Braulio Cordero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Tartalo having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Sporting Clud's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Hurko came free, but Camilo Tartalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Boca Juniors's Erubiel Hurko in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braulio Cordero got free with Camilo Tartalo in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erubiel Hurko to strike the kick off in the second half. Boca Juniors's Braulio Cordero got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Sporting Clud's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Hurko came free, but Camilo Tartalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Braulio Cordero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Sporting Clud getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Leon Raitin hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafin Mirande during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sporting Clud's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors the free kick. In the 80th minute, one of Sporting Clud:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sporting Clud. Camilo Tartalo had in the 83rdth minute some difficulties stopping Octavio Cordarell's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Braulio Cordero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Camilo Tartalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sporting Clud getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Serafin Mirande hit a great ball. Octavio Cordarell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Camilo Tartalo. Sporting Clud's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Erubiel Hurko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Erubiel Hurko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Tartalo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 91 minutes, Bernabe Chumo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Clud and the Boca Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bernabe Chumo hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute Erubiel Hurko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Tartalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicasio Izotz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Desiderio Eyague in the 96th minute. Erubiel Hurko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Camilo Tartalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
