Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Elias Dino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Peli came out of the goal and Elias Dino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 6 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Urbano Haimar came free, but Claudio Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Libertad FC's Armando Feo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Urtsua in the 8th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Elias Dino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Claudio Peli. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. After 14 played minutes Libertad FC got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Hitz. After having played for 21 minutes, Roque Ostots managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roque Ostots was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Libertad FC fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Libertad FC's Elias Dino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elias Dino struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Claudio Peli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Libertad FC. Elias Dino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Peli having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Octavio Gorri during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Octavio Gorri kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Gorri. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After 56 played minutes Libertad FC got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Haimar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Dino in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudio Peli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Armando Feo was a little too slow when Roque Ostots got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 2-1. The audience was convinced that Elias Dino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudio Peli was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. In the 74th minute of the match, Fermin Urtsua got a very nice opportunity to score, but Armando Feo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Fermin Urtsua managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Fermin Urtsua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Feo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Racing Club's Claudio Peli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Chale in the 79th minute of play. Claudio Peli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Chale in the 80th minute of play. Elias Dino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Peli having to interfere. Claudio Peli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Dino in the 92nd minute of the match.
