The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benigno Teodor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Omar Onbera having to make a save. Omar Onbera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benigno Teodor's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. The audience was convinced that Arnaldo Bermudo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Mambru was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Gerardo Amato struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Omar Onbera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valhalla. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Teodor in the 12th minute of play forced Junior's goalkeeper Omar Onbera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valhalla's Ricardo Mambru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Iruinea in the 15th minute of play. Arnaldo Bermudo took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Mambru. Ricardo Mambru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute of the match Haroldo Veremundo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Omar Onbera skillfully saved the ball. In the 23rd minute, Gerardo Amato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Bermudo in the 26th minute of play forced Valhalla's goalkeeper Ricardo Mambru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Iruinea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Mambru having to interfere. The Valhalla players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Junior were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benigno Teodor made a kick off. With a little luck, Valhalla's Ricardo Mambru got control of the ball when Arnaldo Bermudo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gerardo Amato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Leonel Chabier fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Junior's protests and gave Leonel Chabier a yellow card for diving instead. Daniel Iruinea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Mambru having to make a save. In the 74th minute Daniel Iruinea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Mambru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonel Chabier got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 83rd minute, Leonel Chabier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benigno Teodor scored 2-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Omar Onbera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gerardo Amato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Omar Onbera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Omar Onbera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Amato, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
