Spectators: 7194 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edgardo Garikoitz started the match with the kick off. Patricio Frascuelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Diaz having to interfere. Patricio Frascuelo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orlando Diaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Provoleta FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Edgardo Garikoitz scored to the left of an out of position Tomas Chap, making the score, 1-0. Edgardo Garikoitz charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgardo Garikoitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Provoleta FC booed when Gorchs AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Garikoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Ponce in the 23rd minute of play forced Gorchs AFC's goalkeeper Orlando Diaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Ponce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Diaz having to interfere. Samuel Ponce struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Orlando Diaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Provoleta FC. After a rather tough play, Provoleta FC's Cornelio Gilesindo got a free kick in the 38th minute. Edgardo Garikoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Tomas Chap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Ponce to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Jonatan Lon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gorchs AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Provoleta FC the free kick. In the 52nd minute, Jonatan Lon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Provoleta FC's Aaron Mateus tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuel Ponce in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orlando Diaz saved Gorchs AFC from getting behind. Orlando Diaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Ponce, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Jonatan Lon kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. A collision led to Provoleta FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Patricio Frascuelo hit a great ball. When Eusebio Tolino fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gorchs AFC's protests and gave Eusebio Tolino a yellow card for diving instead. Eusebio Tolino hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Aaron Mateus took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Orlando Diaz. Gorchs AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gorchs AFC's Orlando Diaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Ponce in the 67th minute of play. When Patricio Frascuelo came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Provoleta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Frascuelo couldn't finish the play. Aaron Mateus was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 91st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 97th minute, Provoleta FC's Samuel Ponce ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Orlando Diaz. Orlando Diaz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
