Uriel Prejun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amadeo Oxel's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 36th minute of the game, Rolando Guzman landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. A collision led to RIVER PLATE getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Gaudencio Toribio hit a great ball. The supporters of Nonogasta booed when RIVER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Orkatz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The attack was good, but when Amadeo Oxel in the 41st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 42nd match minute, RIVER PLATE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Sugar to maneuver through the defense. Amadeo Oxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eustacio Galsino was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Natalio Rios sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uriel Prejun skillfully saved the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Amadeo Oxel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Uriel Prejun. Amadeo Oxel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. With splendid footwork Amadeo Oxel arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-3 by the left pole in the game's 58th minute. The supporters of Nonogasta booed when RIVER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Ishmael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uriel Prejun came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Nonogasta's Amadeo Oxel. But to his dismay, Amadeo Oxel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Uriel Prejun made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Amadeo Oxel sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amadeo Oxel in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uriel Prejun saved RIVER PLATE from getting behind. Amadeo Oxel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Uriel Prejun skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, RIVER PLATE's Danilo Dacio got a free kick in the 75th minute. A hard shot 78 in the game by Amadeo Oxel from a close distance when the talented Uriel Prejun managed to make a qualified save. RIVER PLATE's players were relieved. Amadeo Oxel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uriel Prejun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Amadeo Oxels short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Uriel Prejun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Celedonio Artal came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Nonogasta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celedonio Artal couldn't finish the play. The referee gave Nonogasta a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Celedonio Eguerdi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of RIVER PLATE's Uriel Prejun. 1-5. In the 95th minute, Amadeo Oxel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nonogasta's Amadeo Oxel got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nonogasta played a much better game than RIVER PLATE and deserved their victory. The RIVER PLATE players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
