Spectators: 7063 (Terracing: 5391, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 20) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jonas Justin kicked off to start the match. In the 8th minute, Mario Salamon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anier Unai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anier Unai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Remigio having to interfere. If Gustavo Giraldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anier Unai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Bonifacio Remigio made a huge save. In the 22nd minute, Leon Leguizamón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Tobias Primeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Banfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Tobias Primeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Geronimo Elivareo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Banfield's Bonifacio Remigio got control of the ball when Anier Unai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anier Unai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute Gustavo Giraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Remigio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Giraldo made a kick off. Geronimo Elivareo was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Jonas Justin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jonas Justin really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Tobias Primeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Geronimo Elivareo made a huge save. Anier Unai took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bonifacio Remigio. Bonifacio Remigio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Bonifacio Remigio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustavo Giraldo's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Anier Unai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Bonifacio Remigio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Banfield's zone, Gustavo Giraldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bonifacio Remigio came out of the goal and Gustavo Giraldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Anier Unai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. DUENDES FC's Anier Unai got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 93 minutes, Gustavo Giraldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DUENDES FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Giraldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The DUENDES FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Banfield to win.
