Salto's Diego Edorta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Elazar in the 8th minute of play. Paulino Clodio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Roman Romano made a huge save. Gavino Javiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Romano having to interfere. With his leg Roman Romano managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Salto's Paulino Clodio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aston Birra's Roman Romano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Aston Birra from getting a goal against them. Salto's Diego Edorta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Sandaili in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Paulino Clodio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roman Romano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 34th minute Ivan Sandaili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Edorta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Salto's goal looked a bit too open when David Elazar came free, but Diego Edorta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Aston Birra booed when Salto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Esiquio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diego Edorta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Elazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gavino Javiar to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Salto booed when Aston Birra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Dalmau didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Salto's Justino Tximitx broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Salto's zone, David Elazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Edorta came out of the goal and David Elazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gavino Javiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Sandaili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Edorta having to interfere. Felix Favila kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Aston Birra's Hipolito Ixona shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 75th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Diego Edorta but with some difficulty. Ivan Sandaili could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Diego Edorta made a huge save. Diego Edorta made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Ivan Sandaili sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute, Patricio Esiquio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Edorta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivan Sandaili went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The Aston Birra supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aston Birra would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
