The referee ignored Aston Birra's protests and gave Florentino Kepa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute Eustacio Galsino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Romano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patricio Eneko kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The supporters of RIVER PLATE booed when Aston Birra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Eneko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roman Romano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Orkatz in the 45th minute of the match. Ivan Sandaili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when David Elazar made the kick off in the second half. Patricio Eneko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Elazar took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uriel Prejun. Uriel Prejun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. David Elazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Uriel Prejun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Fernan Sabino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aston Birra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RIVER PLATE the free kick. Fernan Sabino kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Roman Romano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eustacio Galsino in the 63rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, RIVER PLATE's Valentin Ishmael tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
