In the last second Cirilo Fiz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Anastasio Gregory in the 17thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 23 minutes into the match, Mercedes AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Frutos came free, but Francisco Iratze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauro Frutos in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Iratze saved Mercedes AFC from getting behind. Romulo Fortun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cirilo Fiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasio Gregory in the 36th minute of the match. Nereo Fero got his second yellow card in the match during the 37th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 38th minute, Nereo Fero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Guilabertus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Cirilo Fiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mercedes AFC's zone, Mauro Frutos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Iratze came out of the goal and Mauro Frutos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anastasio Gregory to make the kick off. Cirilo Fiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Gregory in the 66th minute of play. In the 74th minute Anastasio Gregory shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cirilo Fiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Severino Guilabertus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Brinkmann's Mauro Frutos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco Iratze narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Anastasio Gregory managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mercedes AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anastasio Gregory was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cirilo Fiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the match, Brinkmann's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Dantae came free, but Cirilo Fiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
