Herminio Ramos struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Cirilo Fiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jocolí FC. Herminio Ramos scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cirilo Fiz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 16th match minute, Brinkmann was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Shepherd to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Roldan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Cirilo Fiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulino Bermudez, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Romulo Fortun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Eleazar having to interfere. In the 33rd minute of the match Hipolito Gabino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cirilo Fiz skillfully saved the ball. In the 37th minute, Brinkmann's Paolo Orkatz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Paolo Orkatz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Brinkmann protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Paolo Orkatz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Brinkmann fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Cirilo Fiz went to the wrong direction when Guido Bordat was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Ramos in the 49th minute of play forced Brinkmann's goalkeeper Cirilo Fiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Romulo Fortun made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Brinkmann's Cirilo Fiz got control of the ball when Hugo Roldan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Herminio Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hugo Roldan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Romulo Fortun came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Brinkmann fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romulo Fortun couldn't finish the play. After 65 played minutes Jocolí FC got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Sugoi. In the 67th minute of the match Leopoldo Quinto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaime Eleazar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 71st minute, Hugo Roldan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th match minute, Brinkmann was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Fero to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Brinkmann's zone, Herminio Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cirilo Fiz came out of the goal and Herminio Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Hugo Roldan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jocolí FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Roldan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cirilo Fiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Ramos in the 88th minute of play. Hugo Roldan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cirilo Fiz firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Hugo Roldan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jocolí FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Roldan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cirilo Fiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 98 minutes into the match, Brinkmann's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Ramos came free, but Cirilo Fiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jocolí FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
