Los Leales's Amador Oro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ovidio Prejun in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Prudencio Veronicas short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Ovidio Prejun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With an all-out effort, Los Leales's Ovidio Prejun threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abel Erasto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 14 minutes into the match, Prudencio Veronica had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidio Prejun. CADU de Zarate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prudencio Veronica was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Los Leales's Francisco Frederik shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 18th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ovidio Prejun but with some difficulty. In the 19th minute, Celso Gonzalez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ovidio Prejun made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Prudencio Veronica sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th match minute, CADU de Zarate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebio Clis to maneuver through the defense. When Prudencio Veronica came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Los Leales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prudencio Veronica couldn't finish the play. After 26 played minutes CADU de Zarate got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Valente. When Celso Gonzalez came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Los Leales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Gonzalez couldn't finish the play. Filomeno Ospin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Gartzea in the 40th minute of play. Leonel Balendin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celso Gonzalez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Martxelin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Ospin having to interfere. In the 58th play minute Constantino Gartzea came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Filomeno Ospin. 2-1. Carmelo Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. If Celso Gonzalez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavino Ubelteso struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Ovidio Prejun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Leales. Ovidio Prejun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Veronica in the 72nd minute of play. A hard shot 74 in the game by Constantino Gartzea from a close distance when the talented Filomeno Ospin managed to make a qualified save. Los Leales's players were relieved. Ovidio Prejun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Gonzalez in the 76th minute of the match. Constantino Gartzea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Filomeno Ospin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Martxelin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gavino Ubelteso during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of CADU de Zarate booed when Los Leales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavino Ubelteso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Los Leales succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though CADU de Zarate had controlled the match.
