In the 16thth minute of the game Victoriano Ilazki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Azopardo FC's Pastor Maule was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tadeo Bermund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braulio Casomiro having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Condarco's zone, Cristobal Orzaize stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Casomiro came out of the goal and Cristobal Orzaize tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute Cristobal Orzaize shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Casomiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Condarco's Braulio Casomiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Orzaize in the 25th minute of play. When Marco Bikendi, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 29 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Pastor Maule was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Marco Bikendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Pastor Maule tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Braulio Casomiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Orzaize in the 33rd minute of play. Tadeo Bermund struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Braulio Casomiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azopardo FC. Carmelo Guzman's late challenge caught a Azopardo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carmelo Guzman helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Azopardo FC booed when Condarco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmelo Guzman didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristobal Orzaize had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 40 minutes, Tadeo Bermund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Azopardo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeo Bermund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Condarco fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! The Condarco players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Azopardo FC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristobal Orzaize to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadeo Bermund got free with Braulio Casomiro in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 52nd minute, Ovidio Elizardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeo Bermund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Braulio Casomiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Azopardo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pastor Maule should have stopped the shot. In the 73rd minute Tadeo Bermund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Casomiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cristobal Orzaize's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Braulio Casomiro was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
