Oscar Rayman kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Horacio Rufio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Barros having to interfere. Melquiades Janpier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Fidensio in the 34th minute of the match. After the first half Recoleta FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Virgilio Lope to make the kick off. When Horacio Rufio came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the GerpyFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Rufio couldn't finish the play. Casimiro Barros didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when GerpyFC's Virgilio Lope shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Recoleta FC's Casimiro Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Lope in the 59th minute of play. If Horacio Rufio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Virgilio Lope's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casimiro Barros was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. 63 minutes into the match, Virgilio Lope had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casimiro Barros. Melquiades Janpier was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luis Gonsalvo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 79 minute of play. Casimiro Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Lope in the 86th minute of play. Oscar Rayman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Barros having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Virgilio Lope shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GerpyFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
