Virgilio Lope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute Venancio Urtungo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Azubeli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mataderos FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ambrosio Fraco hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Lorenzo Jatsu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mataderos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorenzo Jatsu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Janpier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eduardo Azubeli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Rufio in the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Virgilio Lope shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Azubeli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Azubeli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Venancio Urtungo went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Ambrosio Fraco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Melquiades Janpier. That made the score 1-2 in the 35 minute of play. A collision led to Mataderos FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ismael Abaunza hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Venancio Urtungo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Oscar Rayman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GerpyFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 46 minutes into the match, Venancio Urtungo notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Mataderos FC's Eduardo Azubeli. Eduardo Azubeli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Virgilio Lope was the one to do the kick off. When Mataderos FC's Lorenzo Jatsu in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Eduardo Azubeli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Urtungo in the 63rd minute of play. In the 68th minute, Horacio Rufio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eduardo Azubeli. The goal made the score 1-5. Ismael Abaunza hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Eduardo Azubeli made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Horacio Rufio sent off a good shot on target. 78 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Jatsu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melquiades Janpier. GerpyFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lorenzo Jatsu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lorenzo Jatsu in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melquiades Janpier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Melquiades Janpier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Jatsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as GerpyFC's Venancio Urtungo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eduardo Azubeli. That made the score 2-6 after 92 minutes of play. 97 minutes into the match, Mataderos FC's goalkeeper Eduardo Azubeli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgilio Lope. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. GerpyFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
