An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Loiola in the 16th minute of play forced Macapillo's goalkeeper Anier Gelacio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abelardo Ubelteso kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 24 played minutes Zeledon Loiola rounded Macapillo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Norberto Aurre hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Hilario Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Zeledon Loiola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Gelacio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Macapillo getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Melquiades Evarado hit a great ball. Anier Gelacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Loiola in the 36th minute of play. Hilario Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Hilario Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Macapillo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vergarabat F.C.:s goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zeledon Loiola made a kick off. Julio Mouricio charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julio Mouricio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vergarabat F.C. getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Julio Mouricio hit a great ball. If Clemente Eguen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Zeledon Loiola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anier Gelacio. Macapillo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zeledon Loiola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 64th match minute, Vergarabat F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Mouricio to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Macapillo's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Abaunza came free, but Anier Gelacio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Abaunza in the 68th minute of play forced Macapillo's goalkeeper Anier Gelacio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Marco Abaunza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Melquiades Evarado came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Macapillo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Evarado couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute, Roman Erlantz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Macapillo's zone, Zeledon Loiola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anier Gelacio came out of the goal and Zeledon Loiola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Macapillo's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Vergarabat F.C. had won, even though Macapillo had held more of the ball.
