Mateo Maxin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Candelarias AFC's Bernabe Mateo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Ishmael in the 9th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Petrigai in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evelio Figueroa saved Guanaco FC from getting behind. Bernabe Mateo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Ishmael in the 38th minute of play. Bernabe Mateo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Ishmael, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Rafael Afonso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candelarias AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Afonso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evelio Figueroa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amado Ishmael stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Candelarias AFC's Prospero Pirmin got a free kick in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Maxin in the 58th minute of play forced Candelarias AFC's goalkeeper Bernabe Mateo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Afonso kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match Albino Oidor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernabe Mateo skillfully saved the ball. Amado Ishmael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute Tiburcio Satordi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Mateo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Afonso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Evelio Figueroa made a huge save.
