When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abelardo Senin made a kick off. If Lisandro Chano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Carlos Ostargi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 63 minutes, Edelmiro Errapel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Franco Canadiense and the Sportivo Talarense players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th match minute, Franco Canadiense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Errapel to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Ostargi in the 73rd minute of play forced Sportivo Talarense's goalkeeper Sixto Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abelardo Senin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Rodriguez having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Ostargi in the 87th minute of play forced Sportivo Talarense's goalkeeper Sixto Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
