Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Buchanan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Diego Bilbo scored to the left of an out of position Rogelio Burni, making the score, 1-0. Diego Bilbo took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogelio Burni. Rogelio Burni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 17th minute Daniel Seixas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Burni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogelio Burni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Bilbo, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Buchanan's Rogelio Burni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Jerico in the 23rd minute of play. The long shot by Isaias Sabino in the 31st minute really tested Rogelio Burni's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Daniel Seixas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to C.A. BANFIELD getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Diego Bilbo hit a great ball. After 39 played minutes Buchanan got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Gines. After 43 played minutes C.A. BANFIELD got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Ovando. Eustacio Aznaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rogelio Burni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego Bilbo was the one to do the kick off. After 57 played minutes C.A. BANFIELD got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Pello. Daniel Seixas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Buchanan's Ermegildo Nabar got a free kick in the 68th minute. Mateo Rivero hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Eustacio Aznaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute of the match Isaias Sabino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogelio Burni skillfully saved the ball. Buchanan's Rogelio Burni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Seixas in the 90th minute of play. When Rosendo Ovando came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the C.A. BANFIELD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rosendo Ovando couldn't finish the play. Mateo Rivero's late challenge caught a C.A. BANFIELD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mateo Rivero helped the player get up and apologised. Mateo Rivero hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that C.A. BANFIELD were the better team. C.A. BANFIELD's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
