After a rather tough play, Hersilia AFC's Fernan Roldan got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 3 minutes into the match, Hersilia AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Teofilio came free, but Honorato Soin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ildefonso Tajo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Honorato Soin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Maria in the 7th minute of play forced Versailles AFC's goalkeeper Aureliano Frutos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Carmelo Maria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aureliano Frutos made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Angel Peio sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th minute Ildefonso Tajo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorato Soin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fausto Lando fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hersilia AFC's protests and gave Fausto Lando a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Hersilia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Lando to maneuver through the defense. Dario Chorache took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Honorato Soin. Hersilia AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Versailles AFC's Placido Teofilio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Honorato Soin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Versailles AFC! A collision led to Versailles AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Arnaldo Romano hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Versailles AFC's goalkeeper Aureliano Frutos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angel Peio. In the 27th match minute, Versailles AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Evangelista to maneuver through the defense. Carmelo Maria took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aureliano Frutos. Aureliano Frutos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ildefonso Tajo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorato Soin having to interfere. After 37 minutes of play, Versailles AFC's Ildefonso Tajo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Honorato Soin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ildefonso Tajo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Honorato Soin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honorato Soin came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Versailles AFC's Placido Teofilio. But to his dismay, Placido Teofilio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. A collision led to Versailles AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Dario Chorache hit a great ball. After the first half Versailles AFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carmelo Maria was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Angel Peio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Carmelo Maria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hersilia AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Maria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aureliano Frutos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Placido Teofilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Placido Teofilio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorato Soin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honorato Soin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ildefonso Tajo in the 70th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Ildefonso Tajo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Versailles AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ildefonso Tajo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 91st minute Carmelo Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Frutos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ildefonso Tajo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Honorato Soin having to make a save. A hard shot 97 in the game by Ildefonso Tajo from a close distance when the talented Honorato Soin managed to make a qualified save. Hersilia AFC's players were relieved. The Versailles AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Versailles AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
