A collision led to Cieneguillas getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Camilo Pio hit a great ball. When Roman Venceslao came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Newell´s carajo F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roman Venceslao couldn't finish the play. Efrain Shantala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Venceslao in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Cieneguillas's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Venceslao came free, but Efrain Shantala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Efrain Shantala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Blasi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rodolfo Otsoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodolfo Otsoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Enmanuel having to interfere. Pastor Matai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Filiberto Enmanuel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Pastor Matai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiberto Enmanuel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filiberto Enmanuel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Otsoa in the 32nd minute. Cieneguillas's Efrain Shantala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Venceslao in the 40th minute of play. Filiberto Enmanuel made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Rodolfo Otsoa sent off a good shot on target. After 44 played minutes Newell´s carajo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Guilabertus. After recieving a nice pass, Cieneguillas's Agustin Leocadio tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 47 played minutes Newell´s carajo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Joachim.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pastor Matai to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Urtsin during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Newell´s carajo F.C's Luis Urtsin got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 62nd minute Luis Urtsin suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Camilo Pio was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Camilo Pio hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Uriel Joachim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Efrain Shantala having to make a save. When Uriel Joachim fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newell´s carajo F.C's protests and gave Uriel Joachim a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Uriel Joachim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venancio Blasi in the 79th minute of play forced Cieneguillas's goalkeeper Efrain Shantala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venancio Blasi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Efrain Shantala made a huge save. Filiberto Enmanuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Otsoa in the 86th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Newell´s carajo F.C players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cieneguillas.
