In the 19thth minute of the game Ambrosio Quiroga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pampa Plate's Freddy Pello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Pampa Plate booed when Esquel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Ixona didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pampa Plate's zone, Valentin Munio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Pello came out of the goal and Valentin Munio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Freddy Pello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrosio Quiroga in the 44th minute of the match. Ezequiel Ibañez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Gaizkine in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ambrosio Quiroga to strike the kick off in the second half. Nemesio Tauro, 89 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pampa Plate players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Esquel FC.
