Honorato Abar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santiago García's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Eliseo Igon was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Aquiles Aguirre capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aquiles Aguirre really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Aquiles Aguirre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Igon having to interfere. The Riverpool manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Horqueta to win.
