Honorato Abar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximo Hernandez in the 21st minute. After 26 minutes, Cristo Paio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Horqueta and the Andagualá AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Horqueta got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Paio. Andagualá AFC's Domingo Firme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Aguirre in the 29th minute of play. Matias Lauren took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Honorato Abar. Honorato Abar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 36th minute Aquiles Aguirre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Firme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matias Lauren came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Honorato Abar could save by the left post. After 41 played minutes Horqueta got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Paio. Honorato Abar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Oinaz in the 42nd minute of play. Matias Lauren was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 50th minute. Andagualá AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aquiles Aguirre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Hernandez in the 55th minute of play forced Horqueta's goalkeeper Honorato Abar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Abelardo Oinaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matias Lauren struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Honorato Abar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Andagualá AFC. Julian Frasquito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Domingo Firme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horqueta's Honorato Abar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Lauren in the 69th minute of play. Domingo Firme was a little too slow when Aquiles Aguirre got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 93rd minute, Matias Lauren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Andagualá AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. With 98 minutes on the clock, Alonzo Pasqual commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Andagualá AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 97th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 100 minutes, Horqueta's Victoriano Paulin got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Domingo Firme. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
