In the 6th minute Julian Berbiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Rodríguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, NewKing's Jaime Astrada got control of the ball when Marcial Senio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julian Berbiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Carlos Alberto Rodríguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcial Senio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, NewKing's Omar Iago got a free kick in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Saca Chispas's zone, Omar Iago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alberto Rodríguez came out of the goal and Omar Iago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agustin Cebrian struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jaime Astrada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Saca Chispas. In the 30th minute, Marcial Senio made a precise shot to the right of Jaime Astrada. NewKing's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 33rd minute, Eustaquio Serapio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Deportivo Saca Chispas's Jaime Astrada threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Agustin Cebrian, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 40 minutes, Marcial Senio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Saca Chispas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcial Senio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Omar Iago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Rodríguez having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After 53 played minutes Deportivo Saca Chispas got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Aguilera. Eustaquio Serapio hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Israel Goren shot from long distance in the 55th minute, but Carlos Alberto Rodríguez was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Saca Chispas's Moritz Zyazikov got a free kick in the 56th minute. NewKing's Jaime Astrada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Cebrian in the 72nd minute of play. Omar Iago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Carlos Alberto Rodríguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Julian Berbiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Alberto Rodríguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Iago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Agustin Cebrian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Saca Chispas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Deportivo Saca Chispas fans cheered their team off the field, for while NewKing had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
