Maya FC's Danilo Ulizes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Maya FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Vera's zone, Blas Medero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Erruki came out of the goal and Blas Medero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Justino Timo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Erruki having to interfere. Maya FC's Edelmiro Berenguer got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nestor Erruki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blas Medero in the 31st minute of the match. After having played for 33 minutes, Edelmiro Berenguer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maya FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edelmiro Berenguer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute, Silvestre Enaut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Blas Medero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nestor Erruki was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. If Blas Medero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Blas Medero notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Vera's Nestor Erruki. Nestor Erruki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ildefonso Marcones was the one to do the kick off. Blas Mederos short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Nestor Erruki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 54 minutes of play, Vera's Daniel Micael made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Ulizes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Segundo Rubio's late challenge caught a Maya FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Segundo Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Segundo Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dionisio Vigil charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dionisio Vigil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Blas Medero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Blas Medero fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Blas Medero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Nestor Erruki skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Edelmiro Berenguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingo Roldan hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Ildefonso Marcones got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nestor Erruki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blas Medero in the 98th minute. Maya FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
