Spectators: 7100 (Terracing: 5325, Seating: 1633, VIP seats: 142) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Omar Iago got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Vera's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Iago came free, but Nestor Erruki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ildefonso Marcones recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, NewKing's Isidro Malvin got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Julian Incendio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and NewKing's Jaime Astrada didn't even have to move. In the 12th minute Julian Berbiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Erruki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, NewKing's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Marcones came free, but Jaime Astrada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Micaels short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Jaime Astrada to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. NewKing's Jaime Astrada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save NewKing from getting a goal against them. Daniel Micael who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Jaime Astrada when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 29th minute, Maximiliano Isauro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Julian Berbiz came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the NewKing fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Berbiz couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute of the match NewKing got a corner. Vera's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Israel Goren ran over to the corner to take the kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ildefonso Marcones stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. NewKing's Jaime Astrada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Micael in the 52nd minute of play. If Daniel Micael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Micael in the 58th minute of play forced NewKing's goalkeeper Jaime Astrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daniel Micael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jaime Astrada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Marcones, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vera's goalkeeper Nestor Erruki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nestor Erruki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Iago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Segundo Rubio during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Vera getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Segundo Rubio hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Nestor Erruki successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Julian Berbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Micael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Micael in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaime Astrada saved NewKing from getting behind. Omar Iago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
