Spectators: 7100 (Terracing: 5325, Seating: 1633, VIP seats: 142) An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Marcones in the 5th minute of play forced Algarrobitos AFC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Laurendi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Vera's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Franco came free, but Nestor Erruki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Segundo Rubio fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vera's protests and gave Segundo Rubio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vera getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Segundo Rubio hit a great ball. If Carlos Aurken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Loco's late challenge caught a Algarrobitos AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Loco helped the player get up and apologised. Damian Loco hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 28 played minutes Algarrobitos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Bidari. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Apolo Franco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Algarrobitos AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Apolo Franco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Erruki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Carlos Aurken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, Abelardo Txanton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Algarrobitos AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vera the free kick. After a rather tough play, Algarrobitos AFC's Abelardo Txanton got a free kick in the 41st minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Apolo Franco to make the kick off. Vera's Nestor Erruki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Franco in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Daniel Micael made a precise shot to the right of Rodrigo Laurendi. Algarrobitos AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Ildefonso Marcones recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Micael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Rodrigo Laurendi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Algarrobitos AFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ermegildo Beltza hit a great ball. Apolo Franco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nestor Erruki came out and tried to block the shot, but Apolo Franco slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 90th minute. In the 95th minute Daniel Micael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Laurendi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Algarrobitos AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Algarrobitos AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
