Aurelio Perutxo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vera. Aurelio Perutxo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Micael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurelio Perutxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Marcones in the 7th minute of play. Nestor Erruki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Gaueko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Menucos's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Micael came free, but Aurelio Perutxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Virgilio Escobar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vera's Julian Incendio couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Menucos. If Faustino Gaueko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Llin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Erruki having to interfere. Nestor Erruki came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Menucos's Adolfo Llin. But to his dismay, Adolfo Llin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 36 played minutes Vera got a freekick which was hit by Julian Incendio. 37 minutes into the match, Martin Ixidor sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Nestor Erruki threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Martin Ixidor this time. After 43 minutes, Nereo Natal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menucos and the Vera players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nereo Natal hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Adolfo Llin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Erruki having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Micael was the one to do the kick off. Vera's Nestor Erruki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Llin in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Adolfo Llin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Menucos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Nestor Erruki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Faustino Gaueko's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Menucos's Faustino Gaueko got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damian Loco hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After taking down the ball on Menucos's corner Martin Ixidor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nestor Erruki quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Vera defense, Faustino Gaueko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Erruki. The Vera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Erruki should have stopped the shot. Serafin Florian charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serafin Florian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Menucos booed when Vera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafin Florian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nestor Erruki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Gaueko in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute Faustino Gaueko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Erruki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Faustino Gaueko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faustino Gaueko in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Erruki saved Vera from getting behind. Damian Loco's late challenge caught a Menucos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Loco helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vera's Damian Loco got a free kick in the 95th minute. There was no doubt that Menucos were the better team. Menucos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
