Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luis Matia started the match with the kick off. 8 minutes into the game, Juan Pablo Yanov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nereo Gabirel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 16 played minutes Janta got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Mannie. Aras Erbay came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Marea's Alfredo Suarez. But to his dismay, Alfredo Suarez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Aldo Telo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Gabirel having to interfere. Juan Pablo Yanov charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Pablo Yanov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th minute Patricio Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Gabirel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godfredo Galtero kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If Alejo Mannie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Gaona struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Nereo Gabirel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Janta. Nereo Gabirel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Pablo Yanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Patricio Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alejo Mannie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nereo Gabirel having to make a save. If Alejo Mannie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Juan Pablo Yanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Gaona in the 75th minute of play forced Marea's goalkeeper Nereo Gabirel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Pablo Yanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Nereo Gabirel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Janta's Patricio Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patricio Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 85 played minutes Marea got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Honesto. Nereo Gabirel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Bertol in the 87th minute of the match. If Patricio Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Marea's zone, Ciro Harkaitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Gabirel came out of the goal and Ciro Harkaitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 95 minutes, Patricio Gaona made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Marea's Nereo Gabirel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded Janta left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Marea.
