The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Deportivo Entusiasmo's Antti Sammalkangas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Milio in the 6th minute of play. After having played for 8 minutes, Gualterio Leoncio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gualterio Leoncio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Tomás Gaizkine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Deportivo Entusiasmo booed when Claraz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Frantzes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Gaizkine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Leoncio in the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Claraz's Leopoldo Chan got a free kick in the 18th minute. Gualterio Leoncio struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Tomás Gaizkine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Entusiasmo. Tomás Gaizkine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Horado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernesto Milio was the one to do the kick off. Claraz's Tomás Gaizkine proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Claraz from getting a goal against them. Ernesto Milio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antti Sammalkangas having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Gualterio Leoncio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute, Justo Frantzes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gualterio Leoncio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paolo Abascal kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Darijus Narušis's late challenge caught a Claraz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Darijus Narušis helped the player get up and apologised. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deportivo Entusiasmo! With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Gaizkine prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Rodolfo Horado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Claraz players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
