The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Bernardino Polentzi fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MAYER's protests and gave Bernardino Polentzi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th match minute, MAYER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardino Polentzi to maneuver through the defense. Abel Jerrold, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeledon Luken during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Donato Telesforo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Adolfo Valerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulino Hernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Porfirio in the 31st minute of play forced MAYER's goalkeeper Venancio Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruben Efraim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Venancio Neto having to make a save. In the 39th minute Erubiel Gaztea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40thth minute of the game Ruben Efraim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MAYER's Venancio Neto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Venancio Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Porfirio in the 42nd minute of play. After the first half ANDES TALLERES were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato Telesforo was the one to do the kick off. MAYER's Venancio Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save MAYER from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, MAYER's Isidoro Rosio got a free kick in the 55th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Erubiel Gaztea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Venancio Neto. That made the score 0-2 in the 59 minute of play. A collision led to MAYER getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Bernardino Polentzi hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, ANDES TALLERES's Abel Jerrold broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Antonio Porfirio came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the ANDES TALLERES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Porfirio couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 66 in the game by Antonio Porfirio from a close distance when the talented Venancio Neto managed to make a qualified save. MAYER's players were relieved. Antonio Porfirio took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Venancio Neto. Venancio Neto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Hernandez in the 87th minute of play forced ANDES TALLERES's goalkeeper Adolfo Valerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guido Etxepare kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The goalkeeper, Venancio Neto, was totally fooled by ANDES TALLERES's Abel Jerrold, who 92 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 95 minutes, Paulino Hernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MAYER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Hernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The ANDES TALLERES players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
