Jeronimo Eli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cesar Urtzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cesar Urtzi in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeronimo Eli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Modesto Piearres came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Ancón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Modesto Piearres couldn't finish the play. Jeronimo Eli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Urtzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When Ancón's Cesar Urtzi in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Anguil FC's goalie prevented a goal. 17 minutes into the game, Ancón's Modesto Piearres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 27thth minute of the game Ignacio Rojelio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ancón's Honorio Aballe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 31 minutes of play, Ancón's Modesto Piearres made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeronimo Eli was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Piearres in the 35th minute of play forced Anguil FC's goalkeeper Jeronimo Eli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Anguil FC's zone, Modesto Piearres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeronimo Eli came out of the goal and Modesto Piearres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ignacio Rojelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesar Urtzi might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeronimo Eli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesar Urtzi ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute, Ignacio Rojelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute Joaquin Abel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Aballe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ignacio Rojelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorio Aballe having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ancón's zone, Anacleto Godoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorio Aballe came out of the goal and Anacleto Godoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute, Joaquin Abel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 68 played minutes Ancón got a freekick which was hit by Felix Maria. Amado Xacintu hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After 77 played minutes Ancón got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Sol. Honorio Aballe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Rojelio in the 81st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ancón's Felix Maria got a free kick in the 81st minute. Anguil FC's Joaquin Abel got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Felix Maria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ignacio Rojelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ancón walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
