When Igor Iliana came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Jockey Club RC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Iliana couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the game, Ruben Bazil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jockey Club RC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Calabria the free kick. The supporters of La Calabria booed when Jockey Club RC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Bazil didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Geronimo Kinsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Calabria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geronimo Kinsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cecilio Frans's late challenge caught a Jockey Club RC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cecilio Frans helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, La Calabria's Cecilio Frans got a free kick in the 25th minute. La Calabria's Prudencio Umea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Transito in the 26th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Geronimo Kinsen put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gonzalo Bernat. Jockey Club RC's Enrique Ciceron shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 43rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Prudencio Umea but with some difficulty. Prudencio Umea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Nesor in the 44th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rogelio Nesor made a kick off. Jockey Club RC's Gonzalo Bernat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Jockey Club RC from getting a goal against them. If Igor Iliana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo Raymundo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Gonzalo Bernat when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Geronimo Kinsen kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 76 played minutes Geronimo Kinsen rounded Jockey Club RC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. 86 minutes into the match, Jockey Club RC's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Kinsen came free, but Gonzalo Bernat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 91 minutes, Geronimo Kinsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. He walked away shaking his head.
