Pedro FC's Silvestre Mero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Tartalo in the 4th minute of play. Silvestre Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Atarratze in the 6th minute of play. Silvestre Mero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Godofredo Tartalo went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Godofredo Tartalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Silvestre Mero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evaristo Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Nataniel having to interfere. Godofredo Tartalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robustiano Atarratze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Castelar's Ciriaco Nataniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Fernandez in the 30th minute of play. Ceferino Cerilo's late challenge caught a Pedro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ceferino Cerilo helped the player get up and apologised. Ceferino Cerilo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Silvestre Mero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Atarratze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the game, Modesto Inguma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castelar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pedro FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Castelar:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pedro FC:s goal. Paulo Bordat shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After the first half Castelar were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Fernandez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Desiderio Acuña kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 68th minute Evaristo Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Nataniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Castelar's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Orti came free, but Ciriaco Nataniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro FC were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Castelar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paulo Bordat took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evaristo Fernandez in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciriaco Nataniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Robustiano Atarratze's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Silvestre Mero firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Castelar's goalkeeper Ciriaco Nataniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
