After 12 minutes, Silverio Tiadoro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Miguel del Monte FC and the Yavi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the San Miguel del Monte FC defense, Santiago Romano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cecilio Casado. The San Miguel del Monte FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cecilio Casado should have stopped the shot. Sebastian Isidor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Lizbeth having to interfere. Javier Intxixu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Javier Intxixu in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Lizbeth saved Yavi FC from getting behind. If Javier Intxixu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, Isidoro Sal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Miguel del Monte FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yavi FC the free kick. 25 minutes into the game, one of San Miguel del Monte FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Yavi FC's zone, Sebastian Isidor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Lizbeth came out of the goal and Sebastian Isidor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Cristofol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Cecilio Casado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Yavi FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredo Cristofol made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Alfredo Cristofol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Casado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Lizbeth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Intxixu, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Javier Intxixu notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Yavi FC's Alfredo Lizbeth. But to his dismay, Sebastian Isidor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Sebastian Isidor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Alfredo Lizbeth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cecilio Casado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Cristofol, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Alfredo Lizbeth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hilario Bihar went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. In the 93rd match minute, San Miguel del Monte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Banegas to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Cristofol in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cecilio Casado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cecilio Casado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Cristofol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The San Miguel del Monte FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Yavi FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
