The referee ignored Palomeros F.c.'s protests and gave Juan Bartolome a yellow card for diving instead. Juan Bartolome hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. If Santiago Romano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Cristofol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Teodoro Elodio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Palomeros F.c.'s goalkeeper Teodoro Elodio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Romano. After 33 minutes of play, Palomeros F.c.'s Nicasio Frichoso made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Lizbeth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Timoteo Odol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicasio Frichoso was the one to do the kick off. Alfredo Lizbeth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timoteo Odol in the 56th minute. Nicasio Frichoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palomeros F.c.'s Teodoro Elodio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Romano in the 62nd minute of play. Timoteo Odol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Lizbeth having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, Yavi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Toli to maneuver through the defense. Elias Ferdinand's late challenge caught a Palomeros F.c.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elias Ferdinand helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Palomeros F.c. booed when Yavi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Ferdinand didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Timoteo Odol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palomeros F.c.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Odol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Lizbeth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The attack was good, but when Timoteo Odol in the 83rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Santiago Romano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredo Lizbeth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicasio Frichoso in the 93rd minute of play. Alfredo Cristofol scored 1-2 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodoro Elodio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Palomeros F.c.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
