The supporters of Tinoco booed when Palavicini was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavino Tavio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Isidoro Abadia fired a really elegant long shot, but Maximiliano Maureo threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Tinoco's Feliberto Escobar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Enaut in the 24th minute of play. Silverio Enaut struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Feliberto Escobar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palavicini. Maximino Chabier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Maximiliano Maureo made a huge save.

Aldo Harkaitz charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aldo Harkaitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Feliciano Vincente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feliciano Vincente succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 93rd playminute.
