In the 14th match minute, Rumipal AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Toribio to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Rumipal AFC booed when Anguil AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Rey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pablo Buinton might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abelardo Satordi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pablo Buinton ran back to his position shaking his head. Hugo Maurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Palben having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Maurin in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Palben saved Rumipal AFC from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Maurin was the one to do the kick off. Benito Llope struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Roberto Palben didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anguil AFC. 54 minutes into the match, Rumipal AFC's goalkeeper Roberto Palben had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benito Llope. If Pablo Buinton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremias Rey charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeremias Rey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 59 played minutes Anguil AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Rey. Aureliano Urbes kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rumipal AFC's goalkeeper Roberto Palben, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roberto Palben showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Maurin, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 92 minutes into the game, Guaberto Arias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rumipal AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anguil AFC the free kick. Guaberto Arias hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Rumipal AFC's Roberto Palben got control of the ball when Benito Llope tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rumipal AFC's Narciso Toribio got a free kick in the 94th minute. Anguil AFC were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Rumipal AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aquilino Efren took the corner. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
