In the 3rdth minute of the game Santos Chano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cauchicol's Federico Socorro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 9th minute, Santos Chano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 10thth minute of the game Santos Chano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cauchicol's Federico Socorro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jose Otsoko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Santos Chano took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Federico Socorro. Federico Socorro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Jose Otsoko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Racing Club Jujuy's Artemio Oxarra got control of the ball when Tobias Ugaitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Federico Socorro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Otsoko, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 32 minutes into the game, Jeronimo Gabon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Club Jujuy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cauchicol the free kick. After 32 played minutes Racing Club Jujuy got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Gabon. Santos Chano struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Federico Socorro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club Jujuy. Jeronimo Gabon was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th match minute, Racing Club Jujuy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeronimo Gabon to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Racing Club Jujuy were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodrigo Aureo to strike the kick off in the second half. Artemio Oxarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilano Abadie in the 53rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santos Chano in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Federico Socorro saved Cauchicol from getting behind. Domingos Dimo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Federico Socorro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Damian Odilon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santos Chano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Socorro having to interfere. Racing Club Jujuy's Epifanio Lauren got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Igor Etor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tobias Atarratze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Artemio Oxarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Cauchicol's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Etor came free, but Federico Socorro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Igor Etor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Federico Socorro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Cauchicol booed when Racing Club Jujuy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Lauren didn't get a good kick on the ball.
