With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gualterio Clodio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gualterio Clodio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Israel Gagriel in the 63rd minute of play. If Israel Gagriel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Lescano FC's Israel Gagriel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gualterio Clodio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 90 minutes, Everardo Matro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Plate and the Lescano FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for Lescano FC. Jairo Mambru stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gualterio Clodio. 2-0. Roque Jakobe hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. River Plate's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
