Spectators: 7261 (Terracing: 5447, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 144) Manchester Champagne F.C's Arnoldo Poncio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manchester Champagne F.C's Teofilo Orti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Licerio in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Faro's Victor Ubelteso seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Victor Ubelteso the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Faro protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Victor Ubelteso had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 6 minutes into the game, one of Faro:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Pedro Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Gotzon, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Arnoldo Poncio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester Champagne F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Poncio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Cortez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anacleto Gotzon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Pedro Cortez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arnoldo Poncio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnoldo Poncio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Cortez having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Arnoldo Poncio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester Champagne F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Poncio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Gotzon in the 24th minute of play forced Faro's goalkeeper Pedro Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teofilo Orti was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Tiburcio Belo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tiburcio Belo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After 30 played minutes Faro got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Belo. Angelino Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Arnoldo Poncio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Anacleto Gotzon came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Manchester Champagne F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anacleto Gotzon couldn't finish the play. After 34th play minutes Arnoldo Poncio shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Pedro Cortez and just under the crossbar into goal. 42 minutes into the match, Arnoldo Poncio notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Faro's Pedro Cortez. Pedro Cortez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Faro's Pedro Cortez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Poncio in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Patricio Licerio made the kick off in the second half. If Arnoldo Poncio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. With his leg Pedro Cortez managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Manchester Champagne F.C's Anacleto Gotzon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Anacleto Gotzon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faro's Pedro Cortez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Faro from getting a goal against them. If Anacleto Gotzon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
